How I price custom software
Every project is different, which is why the price comes after the scoping call rather than before it.
What it costs depends on scope, complexity and timeline. After a discovery call I send a detailed proposal with:
- A fixed price for a defined scope, so there are no hourly billing surprises
- Clear deliverables and milestones, with the payment schedule attached to them
- A realistic timeline, typically 4 to 12 weeks depending on complexity
- Support options for after launch, priced up front rather than later
Most projects land between £3,000 and £15,000+, depending on features and integrations.
